1) MISCHIEFS
-On Monday morning (31 May) the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP received numerous reports of vandalized mailboxes located on River Drive and Sturgeon Glen Road in the village of Fenelon Falls. The callers reported that sometime overnight the mailboxes were damaged, possibly by a vehicle.
2) THEFTS
-On Friday evening (28 May) the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP investigated a theft from a Kenedon Drive property, in the former Emily Township. Investigation revealed that sometime during the week of May 24th-28th, 2010, someone entered a garage on the property and removed $4,000 worth of garden equipment. Some of the stolen equipment included a lawn mower, weed trimmer and tools.3) BREAK AND ENTERS
-Sometime between Saturday (27 March) and Tuesday (30 March), person(s) unknown entered a residence on Northline Road in the City of Kawartha Lakes. The suspect(s) stole a safe that is described as approx. 2 ft cube and grey in color. The safe has a dial lock in the center of the door and a handle in which to unlatch the door once the combination is correct. The safe weighs approximately 700lbs and is a older style jewelers safe pre 1990's
4) FOUND ATV
-On Sunday afternoon (30 May) the City of Kawartha Lakes were contacted in regards to an abandoned ATV located in the water at the bottom of Victoria Falls in Queen Elizabeth II Provincial Park.
Officers attended the scene and located an Arctic Cat 450 ATV in the water approximately 10 feet from the base of the falls. Due to the fast moving water and location of the ATV, it was unable to be removed from the base of the falls.
