The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP are presently investigating a theft of cash from the Ultramar Gas Station located on Highway 7 in the Hamlet of Manilla.
On Tuesday (7 April) at approximately 9:30 am a male entered the gas station and made a small purchase. The male engaged the employee in conversation and then when the employee went outside to pump gas for another patron the suspect stole a quantity of cash from the cash register.
The suspect is described as a white male between 35-45 years old, 5’5” to 5”8” tall, long black shoulder length hair, small scarring on cheeks, light complexion, wearing a yellow coat with blue or black striping down the arms and blue jeans. He was seen driving a newer silver Hyundai, 4 door. He was last seen heading westbound on Highway 7 from Simcoe Street.
