is asking the public's help in solving a theft that occurred in
the Village of Haliburton on January 19th, 2009.


Officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment were called to investigate a report of a stolen snow machine Saturday afternoon in the Village of Haliburton.

The investigating revealed that the victim parked his machine in the municipal parking lot on York Street shortly after 3:00pm. Several other machines were parked in the same location. When the owner of the machine returned at 4:25pm the machine had been stolen.

The stolen machine is a 1998 Polaris XC 700 white in colour bearing Ontario Lic#814317.
