The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Crime Unit is continuing to investigate an armed robbery which took place on the 5th of January 2009 at the Manilla General Store.
On Monday evening (05 January) shortly after 8:00 p.m the OPP was called to the store located at the intersection of Simcoe Street and Highway #7 in the village of Manilla, Ontario. Investigation revealed that three males had entered the store, one brandishing a firearm. The suspects then demanded cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes from the clerk. The suspects fled from the store on foot, last seen running south on Simcoe Street.
